Capping Film Incentives?
Legislation introduced on Wednesday March 25th, 2009, they would reduce Michigan’s refundable movie tax credit from 42% to 35%. As well as implement a limit of credits to $50 Million a year and increase the credit for building permanent faculties from 25% to 30%.
According to a recent study conducted by Michigan State University the filming industry has increased from $2 million to more than $100 million with in one year after the law was signed.
