Gordon Advisors at the CPAsNET 24th Annual Meeting

Kevin Klein, CPA Executive Committee Member and Jeff Farrington, COO of GORDON ADVISORS PC the Michigan-based accounting and business consulting firm, recently returned from the 24th Annual Meeting of CPAsNET in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Gordon Advisors is one of only 25 accounting practices in the nation selected as a member of the prestigious network.
More than twenty attendees including members, prospects and international guests attended the two-and-a-half-day conference. Attendance at the Continuing Professional Education program was by invitation only and focused on meeting the challenge of continued innovation to improve client service and running an accounting and business consulting firm in the 21st Century. Several expert consultants to the accounting profession presented programs in a practical, hands-on format. Topics covered included a trends update, the CPA examination, capacity management, recruiting strategies, wealth management practice area update, audit software demonstration and performance management best practices.
The seminar also provided attendees the opportunity to discuss current issues affecting the accounting profession as well as develop ties to similar accounting and tax experts in other areas of the country as well as internationally. “Investing in CPASNET allows our firm access to domestic and global resources for the benefit of our clients. By linking our firm to others, we have been able to offer our clients increased benefit without the expensive overhead cost often associated with national firms,” said Mr. Klein. Member firms share their knowledge through the roundtable discussions portion of the conference.
