Since 2000, Gordon Advisors has supported students attending Walsh College, by awarding annual monetary scholarships to students who have declared to study Accounting. Since then, Gordon Advisors continues to be recognized as a Patron Level supporter of the college.
In 2013, Gordon Advisors established the Gordon Advisors Endowed Scholarship Fund at Walsh College, continuing our support for higher education when it comes to supporting students who are working toward a career in accounting. In addition to our financial commitment of supporting students studying at Walsh College, Gordon Advisors actively engages in direct career and job recruitment opportunities, employing over 20 Walsh alumni. We are invested in the students –from the start of their educational studies, to hiring and supporting them in their professional accounting career.
Gordon Advisors is proud to continue this valuable tradition of transforming lives and providing scholarships to students who study accounting, demonstrate a financial need and meet other qualifying criteria.
“The scholarship has helped me to continue my education and allows me to focus more on my studies. Especially during these uncertain times… it has been beneficial to be able to know that I have some of my schooling costs covered” shared Mary H., a recipient of the Gordon Advisors Endowed Scholarship.
Shareholders at Gordon Advisors are proud Walsh graduates
Walsh College has been an important part of Gordon Advisors’ growth and its leadership team. Five of Gordon Advisors’ Shareholders are Walsh College alumni and the firm employs over 15 team members who’ve also graduated from the college.
“For years, we participated in fundraising events, raising money to provide scholarships for students attending Walsh College. It only made sense for our leadership team to pool our resources together and establish this endowment to further help students that may be interested in a public service career in Accounting. We provide the resources and opportunities for new graduates to jumpstart their career working for a firm like ours,” said Doug McKeon, a dual major graduate of Walsh College and Shareholder of Gordon Advisors.
