Carlos B. Lopez, CPA, is a Senior Audit Manager at Gordon Advisors with over 13 years’ experience in the finance and accounting field.  Over his Public Accounting career, he has served a diverse set of industries in the middle market space with a specialization in the construction, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors.  In public accounting he has guided his clients in implementing complex accounting standards, navigating federal grant compliance requirements, and preparing and adjusting to ERP implementations and business combinations.  As a division Controller in the Progressive Corporation, he oversaw the 200-journal entry, 5-day monthly close of 11 consolidating companies under two bases of accounting all during a general ledger conversion.  As a small business mentor with SCORE, a national nonprofit in partnership with the Small Business Administration, Carlos assisted small business owners in developing business and marketing plans and preparing for due diligence projects under both buy and sell side business acquisitions. Carlos has been a past speaker at various industry seminars and panels on multiple accounting, compliance, and auditing topics. 

Carlos graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 with a 3.8 accounting GPA, earning a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
